Community Art Instruction
Our mission aims to inspire and nurture the next generation of artists, particularly those of African American descent.
In partnership with the historic Dunbar School, a cherished Rosenwald School site, we will offer Art 101: Creative Foundations, a class designed to spark creativity and develop skill in a supportive, inclusive environment.
THURSDAYS FROM 1PM TO 3PM
JUNE 13th - JULY 11th, 2024 (no class on July 4th)
This class is for anyone who has an interest in art and the creative process. No prior experience necessary — we will cover the foundations necessary to begin your journey.
Art supplies from the Scrappy Elephant in Charlottesville, Virginia will be available at a discount. We do ask that participants bring their own notebook, pencil, and eraser to encourage the practice of doodling.
